Masquerade Contest

Welcome to my Masquerade Contest page. As always, flash photography was discouraged, so my photos are a bit on the dark side, but they should give you a flavor of the constumes on display. The number of photos for each entry basically coincides with how long they were on stage. I only used my digital camera for this event.

The guys from Mystery Science Theater 3000, Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy, served as the hosts for the event, and they were very funny, even though they didn't get to ad lib too many reactions to the costumes and skits. The other funny bit was when the entries needed to be prodded off the stage, the 501st Stormtroopers were used to escort the contestants off the stage.

It appears that Mike and Kevin was given an Imperial escort from the 501st squad of stormtroopers. Vader gives Kevin a "talking to". Also the judges were brought out via stormtroopers as well.
